The municipal court may, in connection with the disposition of any offense which is
a "point offense" resulting in the assessment of one (1), two (2), three (3) or four
(4) points by the state director of revenue under the provisions of RSMo 302.302(1),
(2), or (4), order the staying of the assessment of points upon satisfactory completion
of a driver improvement program approved by the state director of the department of
public safety, as provided by RSMo 302.302(4).
